We understand that purchasing custom window coverings is a significant investment, and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return Policy outlines our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.

Because our products are custom-made to your specifications, our return policy differs from standard retail return policies. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order to understand your rights and obligations.

Custom-Made Products

All blinds, shades, and window coverings sold by Stockauappealing are custom manufactured to your exact specifications, including size, color, material, and features. Due to the custom nature of these products, they cannot be returned or exchanged simply because you have changed your mind or no longer want the product.

We strongly encourage you to:

  • Order samples before committing to a full purchase
  • Double-check all measurements before placing your order
  • Review your order confirmation carefully for accuracy
  • Consult with our design specialists if you have any doubts
  • Ask questions about materials, colors, and functionality

Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive a product that is defective or damaged during shipping, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost to you. To qualify for a defect or damage claim:

  • You must report the issue within 14 days of delivery
  • You must provide photographs clearly showing the defect or damage
  • The product must not have been altered, misused, or improperly installed
  • The defect must be a manufacturing defect, not normal wear or cosmetic variation

Upon verification of the defect or damage, we will arrange for repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion. In most cases, we will send replacement parts or a complete replacement product. If the product cannot be repaired or replaced, we will issue a full refund.

Manufacturing Errors

If we make an error in manufacturing your custom product (wrong size, wrong color, wrong features), we will correct the error at no cost to you. Manufacturing errors include:

  • Products made to incorrect dimensions (different from your order)
  • Incorrect color or material
  • Missing features or components that were ordered
  • Incorrect mounting hardware or accessories

To report a manufacturing error, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order with your order number, photographs of the product, and a description of the error.

Measurement Errors

If you provided incorrect measurements when placing your order, the resulting products cannot be returned for a refund. However, we understand that measurement mistakes happen, and we want to help you get the right fit for your windows.

We offer a reorder program where you may purchase replacement products at a discounted rate if the original products were made correctly according to the measurements you provided. Please contact us to discuss options if you find yourself in this situation.

Window Film Installation

Window film installation services are non-refundable once the installation has been completed. If you are dissatisfied with the installation quality, please contact us within 7 days of installation so we can assess the situation and make any necessary corrections.

If you cancel a scheduled installation appointment, the following policies apply:

  • Cancellations more than 48 hours before the appointment: Full refund of any deposit
  • Cancellations within 48 hours: The deposit may be retained to cover scheduling costs
  • No-shows or same-day cancellations: Full deposit forfeiture may apply

Refund Process

When a refund is approved, we will process it using the same payment method you used for the original purchase. Please allow the following time frames for refunds to appear:

  • Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
  • Debit card refunds: 5-10 business days
  • Check payments: Refund check mailed within 14 business days
  • Financing arrangements: According to the financing company's policies

Original shipping and installation charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

Exchanges

Due to the custom nature of our products, exchanges are generally not available. If you wish to change your order after it has been placed, please contact us immediately. If manufacturing has not yet begun, we may be able to modify your order. Once manufacturing has started, changes may not be possible.

If you receive a defective product and prefer a different product instead of an exact replacement, we may be able to accommodate your request depending on the circumstances. Additional charges may apply if the replacement product is of higher value.

Warranty Information

Our products come with manufacturer warranties that cover defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty coverage varies by product line and is separate from this return policy. Please refer to the warranty documentation provided with your product or contact us for specific warranty information.

Warranty claims should be directed to us, and we will coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf. Warranty coverage does not include:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from misuse or improper installation
  • Damage from cleaning with improper products
  • Fading from sun exposure (unless specifically covered)
  • Cosmetic variations in natural materials

How to Initiate a Return

If you believe you have a valid reason for a return or refund, please follow these steps:

  • Contact our customer service team via phone or email
  • Provide your order number and date of purchase
  • Describe the issue in detail
  • Provide photographs if applicable
  • Wait for our team to review your request and respond

Do not ship any products back to us without first receiving authorization and instructions from our team. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted or refunded.
